Three distinct Gulf Coast communities — each with its own personality, beaches, and hidden gems.
About Venice
Venice is the crown jewel of the 941 — a beautifully planned city with a charming downtown, world-famous shark tooth beaches, a thriving arts scene, and miles of Gulf Coast shoreline. Whether you're hunting for prehistoric fossils, dining on Venice Avenue, or catching a show at the Venice Theatre, this city has something for everyone.
History
Venice was designed in the 1920s by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers as a planned retirement community, inspired by its Italian namesake. The city's Mediterranean Revival architecture, wide boulevards, and thoughtful layout have been lovingly preserved, making it one of Florida's most walkable and charming small cities.
